Cowboys Face Must-Win Clash Against Wounded Eagles

Segment Spotlight: Quick Hits From Outspoken With Dan Sileo

Wounded Eagles Make Cowboys Matchup a Must-Win

The Eagles are putting a MASH unit on the field tonight, with several unfamiliar players in the lineup. If the Dallas Cowboys cannot win against this wounded team, they may never beat the Eagles. For Dak Prescott and the Cowboys, this is a must-win game if they want to contend in the NFC East.

The Cowboys have looked varying degrees of bad over the past few weeks, especially on offense. Their defense has also struggled, raising questions about Christian Parker and the new personnel they assembled.

The Buccaneers found a way to pressure Prescott and force him into mistakes, and the Packers followed a similar approach. It will be interesting to see whether the Eagles bring heavy pressure, force Prescott to make plays and challenge him to beat them. If he cannot, the Cowboys are effectively dead in the water because they need their offense to perform at a high level.

Dallas did play better defensively against the Packers, showing a more aggressive style. The Cowboys need to bring that same approach against an Eagles MASH unit featuring Tanner McKee at quarterback and a depleted receiving group without Devonte Smith and Jontavian Wicks.

The Cowboys need to find a way to win. It does not have to be pretty, but they must get into the win column. Otherwise, there will be little reason to believe they can win the division.
