Saints Picked in Potential Shootout Featuring Winston and Shough
The “Fighting Harbaughs” have pieced together a 3-1-1 record in an NFC East that does not appear to have a dominant team. While that does not guarantee they will win anything, the job so far has been impressive enough to merit Coach of the Year consideration.
The matchup with the Saints could produce plenty of points because neither team appears likely to get many stops. Tyler Shough and Jameis Winston will go head-to-head, with Chris Olave and Malik Nabers providing major receiving threats on each side.
Winston has continued throwing the ball deep, while Nabers has recorded more than 100 receiving yards and a touchdown in each of the past two weeks. He is the only NFL player to accomplish that in Weeks 4 and 5.
This game deserves main-screen treatment on Sunday. The Saints are the pick to beat a one-loss team, although it would not feel like a major upset. Kellen Moore has done an excellent job with Shough, even though last week’s performance was not particularly strong.
