“Nine quarterbacks were selected before Nussmeier finally came off the board to the Kansas City Chiefs with the 249th overall pick in the seventh round. That kind of fall was unimaginable a year ago.” - Schwab
Day 1 Loser: Rueben Bain Jr. (Not the Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
Rueben Bain Jr. still landed in a great situation, but that doesn’t erase how far he slid relative to expectations. When your name is floating near the very top of the draft for months, falling outside the top 10 shifts the narrative, even if the talent hasn’t changed.
