Prior to suffering an injury around Thanksgiving, Simmons was emerging as a reliable contributor. Eight starts provided valuable experience, and the Chiefs believe there's considerably more ahead. For the 32^nd overall pick his play was on par with the other rookie offensive lineman drafted well ahead of the former Buckeye.

Cam Ward wasn't spectacular, but he certainly wasn't a bust. While many expect a massive leap, a more modest climb feels realistic. Continued growth and improved consistency would represent a successful second season. Tennessee surprised everyone on draft night when they selected Carnell Tate with the fourth overall pick. No question GM Mike Borgonzi and head coach Robert Saleh think highly of the former Ohio State Buckeyes receiver. Ward must build off his 59.8 completion percentage to begin his climb up quarterback rankings.

The rookie season failed to match the hype. Hunter never consistently displayed the game-changing ability that made him a collegiate sensation. Jacksonville must settle the wide receiver-versus-defensive back debate and allow him to thrive in a clearly defined role. He did have his first 100-yard receiving game against the Los Angeles Rams with eight catches for 101 yards and one touchdown, prior to tearing his LCL in late-October practice.

The reactions were mixed. Carter flashed throughout his rookie season, but some stat-watchers were underwhelmed by his 3.5 sacks. The tape suggests a breakout campaign could be coming. The addition of Arvell Reese, with the fifth overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, only heightens the excitement surrounding Carter and the weapons around him in New York.

2026 Predictions - Stump

The Super Bowl wasn't his finest moment and some of it was downright ugly. Campbell battled through injuries, made 13 starts and likely returned before he was fully healthy. Despite the bumps along the way, it feels like New England got this one right. Campbell’s duties are protecting MVP runner-up Drake Maye.

Having Myles Garrett made life easier for everyone. While I love Graham's game, there has to be at least some discomfort entering Year 2 without No. 95 commanding constant attention. Graham remains a terrific player, but opposing offenses can devote much more focus his way and a new learning curve for Graham and plenty of other Browns defenders enter the fray in 2026.

Jeanty never produced the impact expected from a first-round running back. He joins a list of highly drafted rookies who failed to immediately deliver. With offensive line upgrades in place, Year 2 becomes a pivotal season. His 3.7 yards per carry is well below the desired NFL preferred number of 4.0, leaving Jeanty with a ton of expectations to fulfill this season.

Armand Membou made seventeen starts as a rookie is impressive regardless of position. With new faces helping reshape the Jets offense, Membou will be counted on even more heavily in 2026. The foundation appears strong and while the STUMP might sound like a dislike for his upcoming season but just feel his play in 2025 was outstanding. A jump puts him at a Pro Bowl level. Not sure where they are yet. However, he was elected to the PFWA All-Rookie Team.

Tetairoa McMillan started all 17 games and quickly became a major piece of Carolina's passing attack. More importantly, he gave Bryce Young the type of big-bodied target every young quarterback covets. With 70 receptions for 1,014 yards and seven touchdowns, it seems like he can bump those numbers up considerably with Young and him settling in for their second year together.

General Manager Mickey Loomis must look forward to seeing Banks Jr. enter year two of his career in New Orleans. The standout from Texas made 17 starts and allowed one sack giving the Saints confidence that left tackle is solidified with Banks Jr. on the roster. Allowing one sack might be a mighty task to duplicate but labelling him with the JUMP tag in 2026 seems fit.

The second half of the season revealed why Chicago invested so heavily in Loveland. He emerged as the Bears leader in both receptions (58) and receiving yards (713) along with tying for the team lead with six touchdown catches. With both Caleb Williams and Loveland entering year two in head coach Ben Johnson’s system should bolster the chances of a big season in store for the young quarterback/tight end combo.

Williams made nine starts despite battling back from a torn meniscus. The former Georgia standout flashed enough talent to suggest bigger things are on the horizon. His one sack doesn’t impress for his 11^th overall draft selection but look for Williams to established himself as a much more productive fixture in the Niners defense in 2026.

Zack Martin informed the Cowboys he was retiring on February 20, 2025, after 11 years of elite play in Dallas. The Cowboys then informed the NFL during the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft that Booker would be their selection. Booker started 14 games and helped ease concerns following Martin's retirement. Dallas drafted him to stabilize the interior offensive line and he largely delivered. A full season and building off his first season earns Booker the JUMP tag.

Kenneth Grant’s five starts don't tell the entire story. What matters most is the growth Grant displayed throughout the season. Miami saw enough progress to believe a much bigger role awaits in Year 2. Grant had two sacks and one safety in his rookie campaign. It’s imperative he builds off those numbers in 2026.

Tyler Warren did not disappoint in year one with the Colts. Quarterback uncertainty (Daniel Jones return) remains a concern, but Warren's growth should continue regardless. His understanding of the game and overall development suggest a player poised to take a significant step forward. He led the team with 112 targets and finished second in both receptions (76) and yards (817).

Walker made 5.5 sacks in year one along with five tackles for loss. The Falcons run a 3-4 defense with rookies Walker and rookie teammate James Pearce Jr. as their outside linebacker tandem. Defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich was retained by new head coach Kevin Stenfanski showing confidence the JUMP for Walker is due in 2026.

One of my favorite overall players in the 2025 NFL Draft, Nolen III Nolen missed time during his rookie season but flashed whenever his number was called. Arizona has a disruptive interior defender capable of becoming a difference-maker but stacking 17 game seasons are the key to long-term success. With two sacks, two passes defended and one fumble recovery in six games, Nolen is poised for a breakout season.

Stewart's lack of production in 2025 forces only one destination this season with a JUMP. Missing mandatory training camp and the first three days of training camp might have limited him in his rookie season. In his second to last game of the year, Stewart recorded his lone sack of his rookie season. All the earmarks of a bust label are forming and hopefully it doesn’t come to fruition.

The rookie made 17 starts and won a Super Bowl ring. It’s the only reason I give him the SLUMP tag heading into his sophomore season in the National Football League. Zabel exceeded expectations and looks like a long-term fixture up front for Seattle. It is possible he begins to carve out Pro Bowl/All-Pro accolades soon.

Egbuka quickly became one of Baker Mayfield's favorite targets. With Mike Evans nearing the twilight of his career in San Francisco and Chris Godwin following suit, Egbuka feels like Tampa Bay's future at the position. He led the team with 63 catches for 938 yards and six touchdowns. His first season eclipsing 1,000 yards should arrive this season. His 127 targets resulting in just 63 catches is an area for much needed improvement.

You can sense something special developing. Denver's defense has enough talent around Barron that he doesn't have to be the sole playmaker. That environment should allow his game to continue blossoming. With five starts in 2025 to go along with one interception the foundation of his game should on display much earlier in 2026.

Harmon enters Year 2 with considerable upside. More importantly, the Steelers need him to become the lead dog up front. Pittsburgh drafted him to attack offenses, not simply occupy space. With Cam Heyward playing at an elite level, Harmon’s rise in production and overall play is a welcomed sight in Pittsburgh.

Injuries robbed Hampton of the opportunity to build momentum during his rookie campaign. Injuries also robbed the Chargers of key offensive linemen in 2025. If the team avoids those disastrous issues this season, expect Hampton to be near the top of the rushing charts in the NFL. When healthy, the flashes were easy to see. Under Jim Harbaugh, expect a heavy workload and every opportunity to succeed.

Golden failed to live up to expectations attached to a first-round receiver. The opportunities will be there in Year 2, but questions remain regarding the return on Green Bay's investment. Golden was one of my favorite receivers coming out of the 2025 NFL Draft class at the position and the concerns are real if he develops in year two with the Packers. Searching for his first touchdown reception this season, Golden looks to improve off his 29 catches for 341 yards.

The quarterback situation grabs all the headlines in Minnesota, so it’s tricky to notice anything else with the Vikings. Jackson quietly put together one of the more underrated rookie campaigns. With the quarterback carousel dominating headlines, his development has largely gone unnoticed. Jackson made 14 starts in the 14 appearances he made with Minnesota.

This is the toughest designation on the board because I loved Dart coming out of college. However, confidence can be both a strength and a weakness. Year 2 will reveal whether his swagger remains an asset or becomes a hurdle. Throwing 15 touchdowns and just five interceptions, Dart’s 63.7 completion percentage gives hope New York got it right at quarterback. However, I remain cautious despite the success in year one.

Ten-and-a-half sacks. Enough said. Atlanta has desperately searched for a consistent pass rusher, and Pearce looks capable of ending that search. It’s the most rookie sacks since Micah Parsons at 13, so that shows the company Pearce Jr. is in. Teammate Jalon Walker enters year two as well and the young duo is poised for improvement. While 10.5 sacks are hard to come by, expect a gradual climb up for Pearce Jr..

Malaki Starks 15 starts and 84 tackles as a rookie removed any doubt about Starks belonging. The Ravens have a history of developing elite defensive backs and Starks appears next in line. He is in the same position as Broncos’ Jahdae Barron where the talent around them doesn’t force the issue on their urgency to produce. Hence both have developed with ease and should make the jump towards bigger and better play in 2026.

Williams made 10 starts and steadily improved as the season progressed. His rookie campaign wasn't spectacular, but the arrow is clearly pointing upward. He is one of those offensive linemen that is simply fun to watch due to his fierce demeanor.

Conerly quietly put together a strong rookie season and, in many ways, flew under the radar. The former Oregon standout displayed the athleticism and movement skills that made him a first-round selection while proving he could handle NFL competition. What makes Year 2 especially intriguing is the possibility of a move to left tackle. If that transition occurs, Conerly's value to Washington could increase dramatically. The Commanders have invested heavily in protecting their franchise quarterback, and Conerly appears capable of becoming a long-term solution. His rookie season built a solid foundation, but a position switch combined with another offseason of development could unlock an even higher ceiling in 2026.

Maxwell Hairston made three starts and two interceptions provided a glimpse of what Hairston can become. Under Bobby Babich's direction, the Bills believe his best football is still ahead. Buffalo still is considered a Super Bowl worthy team and Hairston’s improvement is imperative towards that goal in Buffalo.

Campbell lived up to his first-round billing with 10 starts and finishing fourth on the team with 80 tackles. Philadelphia should only continue expanding his role as he gains experience within Vic Fangio's defense.
