Jordan Love is playing the best stretch of football in his young career. After a rough start to the season, the Packers find themselves right back in the NFC North mix. They seem well-positioned to go into Foxboro and pull off the upset on the road, especially with the Patriots' various injuries.
1. Houston Texans @ Los Angeles Chargers
Nobody in their right mind actually thinks the Chargers will go winless in 2026. There is a reason why only two teams in history, the 2008 Detroit Lions and the 2017 Cleveland Browns, have gone an entire season without a victory. They host a struggling Houston Texans team on Sunday, who are desperate for a win to try and keep pace with the Jaguars in the AFC South. For all the Chargers' issues, they still have plenty of people who have won plenty of games in that organization. This week feels like their best chance yet to finally enter the win column in 2026.
2. Dallas Cowboys @ Indianapolis Colts
The Colts' firesale is in full swing. Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner have already been traded, and now we are waiting for the inevitable news about Jonathan Taylor. Hosting the Dallas Cowboys this week, Indianapolis has nothing to lose. Their season is over, and they are looking for a new GM. The fact that the Colts can now play free with nothing to lose could play in their favor this week, especially against one of the NFL's worst defenses.
3. New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles
You would be hard-pressed to find any NFL fan or talking head who had the Eagles losing six straight games and their season all but over going into Week 9. In the cruel nature of the NFL, this battle on Sunday will feature two teams who are on their third QB this season. The Eagles announced yesterday that they would be allowing Joe Milton to start on Sunday against the Giants after Tanner McKee struggled in place of Jalen Hurts. Milton has always been lauded for his rocket arm and his scrambling ability. The unknown surrounding Milton makes this a potential upset spot at Lincoln Financial Field, a place the Giants haven't won at since 2013.
4. Denver Broncos @ Carolina Panthers
The Panthers are gearing up to host the Denver Broncos in Carolina on Sunday afternoon. After two straight losses, the Panthers must get back on track. This won't be easy, as the Broncos' defense has started to find the magic it had last season. However, playing on their home field, the Panthers have a prime opportunity to get back to.500 and make a statement by beating one of the NFL's top defenses.
