Eight NFL teams remain undefeated, but staying perfect all season is one of the league’s toughest challenges. Here’s a look at each undefeated team as we move into Week 3 of the NFL season. We’re looking ahead at each team’s schedule to predict the matchup that will hand them their first loss.
Las Vegas Raiders
The Las Vegas Raiders have easily been the most surprising 2-0 team, after finishing with the worst record in the league last season. Kirk Cousins has thrown for three touchdown passes in each of the first two games, and they are expected to get their best offensive weapon, TE Brock Bowers, back this week.

Raiders' First Loss: September 27th at Saints (Week 3)

I expect the Raiders to suffer their first loss this Sunday to an underrated Saints team. Second-year quarterback Tyler Shough tops the NFL with 662 passing yards after leading New Orleans to an upset victory against the Ravens last week. Despite the hot start, the Raiders are expected to use Cousins as a bridge to future franchise quarterback Fernando Mendoza, who was selected with the 1st overall pick in the draft.
Cincinnati Bengals
The Cincinnati Bengals are 2-0 in their second straight season as they look to return to the playoffs for the first time since 2022. Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase are among the league's best QB-WR duos, and the Bengals defense has improved, forcing four Bucs turnovers in Week 1 and holding the Texans to just 6 points in Week 2.

Bengals' First Loss: September 27th at Steelers (Week 3)

The Bengals head to Pittsburgh to face the reigning AFC North Champions in a divisional matchup. Despite the early-season struggles, I expect the Steelers defense to pressure Burrow often and force multiple turnovers in this game. The Steelers went 4-2 in division games last season and will look to pull off the upset at home.
Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings are off to a 2-0 start and now lead the NFC North. Despite Kyler Murray suffering a concussion, backup quarterback Carson Wentz has led the team to two divisional wins. The Vikings' defense held the Bears to just three points in Week 2 after they set an NFL record with 59 points in Week 1.

Vikings' First Loss: September 27th at Buccaneers (Week 3)

Kyler Murray is set to return as the Vikings' starting quarterback in Week 3 against the Buccaneers after clearing concussion protocol. I expect the offense to have some growing pains as Murray settles into Kevin O’Connell’s offensive system. The Buccaneers and Baker Mayfield are 0-2 and will be desperate for their first win of the season. Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles is on the hot seat, and I expect him to use his pass rush to keep Murray from getting comfortable in the pocket.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles are 2-0 and looking to return to the Super Bowl after losing in the Wild Card game last season. With AJ Brown gone, the Eagles and new playcaller Sean Mannion are relying on wide receiver Devonta Smith, who caught 10 passes for 117 yards and a touchdown in their Week 2 win over the Titans.

Eagles' First Loss: October 4th vs . Rams (Week 4)

The Eagles just narrowly defeated both the Commanders and Titans, and I expect them to lose against a dominant Rams team with talent on both sides of the ball. Jalen Hurts threw two interceptions last week, including a crucial one in the red zone that was almost returned for a touchdown. The Eagles' rushing attack has also struggled with offensive line shuffling, which makes the Rams' defense a tough challenge in Week 4.
Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills are off to a 2-0 start, led by the league's #1-ranked offense, which has scored a league-best 77 points in the first two weeks. Josh Allen has nine total touchdowns and zero turnovers through the first two games.

Bills' First Loss: October 12th at Rams (Week 5)

The Bills' defense has struggled, allowing 30+ points in each of the first two weeks. I expect a well-rounded team like the Rams to take care of business at home on Monday Night Football. The Bills' secondary will struggle to keep up with star wide receivers Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. Despite the injury to Myles Garrett, I trust the Rams' defense to pressure Allen in what should be a high-scoring primetime shootout.
San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers are 2-0, with two dominant wins over the Rams and the Dolphins. The 49ers offense has scored 62 points and allowed no sacks in its first two games. Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, and George Kittle will look to stay healthy and lead the 49ers back to the Super Bowl.

49ers' First Loss: October 11th at Seahawks (Week 5)

The 49ers really struggled with the Seahawks last year, getting dominated 41-6 in the NFC divisional round. I expect the Seahawks to come out on top again in this Week 5 divisional matchup, especially with starting quarterback Sam Darnold expected back. The 49ers allowed 116 yards and three rushing touchdowns to Kenneth Walker in that playoff game, and Seattle will look for the same success with rookie Jadarian Price.
Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks are 2-0 after winning the Super Bowl last season. Quarterback Sam Darnold suffered a hip injury on the first drive of the season, leading backup Drew Lock to step in for him. Jaxon Smith-Njigba leads the NFL in receiving yards with 277 and four touchdowns in just two games.

Seahawks' First Loss: October 15th at Broncos (Week 6)

Sam Darnold is back, and the Seahawks defense has been dominant, allowing the fewest points in the NFC. However, I expect the Seahawks to lose to Bo Nix and the explosive Broncos offense on Thursday Night Football in Week 6. The Broncos have won nine of their last 10 regular-season home games, and road teams often struggle with high altitude.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs are 2-0 and looking to bounce back after missing the playoffs last year for the first time since 2014. Patrick Mahomes is fully recovered from his torn ACL, and the Chiefs have scored 30+ points in each of the first two weeks.

Patrick Mahomes and the offense will face an elite Seahawks defense that has allowed just 17 points in the first two weeks. I expect Sam Darnold and the Seahawks to outlast the Chiefs in this exciting primetime matchup.
