UCLA and the Under Draw Interest Against Wisconsin
The line for Wisconsin-UCLA continues to move toward the Badgers, but UCLA is becoming more appealing as a short home underdog. Bettors who backed Wisconsin early secured a strong number, while the current price makes UCLA available for less than a field goal at home.
Ty Diefenbach is set to start for UCLA in a matchup that remains difficult to play in either direction. Wisconsin ranks ninth nationally in defensive EPA per play and uses a slow-tempo approach. UCLA, however, has the better roster, the better coach and home-field advantage, while Wisconsin must travel to Los Angeles.
Although the game is not currently on the betting card, the lean is toward UCLA finding a way to win at home. Wisconsin will probably keep it close, but the movement in the line has created a more favorable price on UCLA.
The under at 43.5 is also appealing because UCLA will have a backup quarterback and Wisconsin prefers to slow games down. A Wisconsin victory could look like 17-16, while a UCLA win could be closer to 27-10. Either result would stay below the total.
The show’s best bets had been on a strong run before the Nico passing-yards wager ended in a loss following his injury shortly before halftime. His total was 184.5 yards, and he had reached 162 when he was injured while scrambling.
