ESPN Predicts Win-Loss Record for Each SEC College Football Team

16. Arkansas Razorbacks
ESPN Projected Win-Loss Record: 4.3-7.7

Four wins is an awfully generous projection. The Arkansas Razorbacks head into the 2026 campaign without any of their key pieces from last season. Considering they only mustered two wins in 2025, we have little faith the Razorbacks surpass that number this season.
1. Georgia Bulldogs
ESPN Projected Win-Loss Record: 9.9-2.5

The Georgia Bulldogs succumbed to the Ole Miss Rebels in last year's CFP, marking just their second loss and coming by a combined eight points. Their receivers' corps is being rebuilt, but that won't be an issue for Gunner Stockton. With most of their key players also back on defense, Georgia will once again live up to the hype in 2026.
2. Texas Longhorns
ESPN Projected Win-Loss Record: 9.8-2.7

Arch Manning underwent some growing pains last season, which was analogous to the Texas Longhorns' program as a whole. They missed out on a postseason berth and looked uncomfortable in some very winnable games. We're betting the Longhorns learned from those missteps and will be ready to go on an extended CFP run this season.
3. Alabama Crimson Tide
ESPN Projected Win-Loss Record: 8.6-3.6

If we're being honest with each other, the Alabama Crimson Tide have lost a step under Kalen DeBoer. Granted, Bama went 11-4 last season en route to an SEC title, but the Crimson Tide still fizzled out in the playoffs. Alabama is never rebuilding from the ground up. Still, there are too many holes to fill to think the Crimson Tide can compete against the SEC frontrunners.
4. LSU Tigers
ESPN Projected Win-Loss Record: 8.4-3.8

The LSU Tigers had one of the most aggressive offseasons of any college football team. Their offense was effectively rebuilt and there are plenty of newcomers on the defensive side of the ball. It's up to Lane Kiffin to galvanize this time, but we like the Tigers' chances of exceeding expectations.
5. Texas A&M Aggies
ESPN Projected Win-Loss Record: 8.4-3.8

Marcel Reed returns for his junior season, looking to improve on his 3,169 passing yards from last year. If the Aggies' offensive line holds up, we could see big things from Reed and his talented receivers. If they can win at least one game versus Alabama or LSU on the road, there's no denying the Aggies a spot in the CFP.
5. Oklahoma Sooners
ESPN Projected Win-Loss Record: 7.5-4.6

The Oklahoma Sooners are the wild card in the SEC. Continuity on defense will help this team build off their superb 2025 campaign, but it will be up to John Mateer to take the next steps in his development to elevate the Sooners into a legitimate threat.
7. Tennessee Volunteers
ESPN Projected Win-Loss Record: 7.3-4.7

There is a steep learning curve in the SEC, and the Tennessee Volunteers are about to learn that lesson the hard way. The Vols feature a litany of underclassmen on offense, while their defense was rebuilt via the transfer portal. Seven wins could be out of reach, even with a home-friendly schedule.
8. Ole Miss Rebels
ESPN Projected Win-Loss Record: 7.3-4.8

Much like 2025, we're expecting a lot of high-scoring games in Oxford this season. The Ole Miss Rebels return most of their top performing offensive players, with a significantly different defense. If things come together quickly for Suntarine Perkins and Co., the Rebels could be dark horse candidates for the SEC title.
9. Florida Gators
ESPN Projected Win-Loss Record: 6.7-5.3

We're done expecting good things from the Florida Gators. They bungled the DJ Lagway era, and they have just one winning season since 2020. Expect mediocrity in Florida, and you won't be disappointed.
10. Missouri Tigers
ESPN Projected Win-Loss Record: 6.7-5.3

Low-key, Ahmad Hardy could vault himself into the Heisman Trophy conversation. And at +12500, the sharpest bettors could be eyeing unimpeachable closing line value. Outside of Hardy, we're anticipating underwhelming performances from the rest of the roster. Sadly, a bowl game could be out of reach.
11. Auburn Tigers
ESPN Projected Win-Loss Record: 6.6-5.4

The Auburn Tigers have one returning player on offense.

While that might be a good thing for a team that finished 5-7, it certainly casts doubt on the Tigers' ability to right the ship. This is Alex Golesh's opportunity to re-establish Auburn as a threat, but wins won't come easily.
12. South Carolina Gamecocks
ESPN Projected Win-Loss Record: 6.4-5.6

Sportsbooks could be sleeping on the South Carolina Gamecocks in 2026. With a win total set at 6.5 and the under juiced to -142, few people are expecting LaNorris Sellers to elevate the Gamecocks in 2026. A relatively easy schedule and continuity on defense could assure South Carolina of its fourth bowl game in six seasons.
13. Vanderbilt Commodores
ESPN Projected Win-Loss Record: 6.2-5.8

The Vanderbilt Commodores were built for last season. They came up painstakingly short of the CFP, and it's unlikely true freshman Jared Curtis maintains the Commodores' elite offensive production. Surpassing four wins should be the goal in 2026.
14. Mississippi State Bulldogs
ESPN Projected Win-Loss Record: 4.6-7.4

The Mississippi State Bulldogs' most notable battle this season could be which quarterback hangs onto the starter's job the longest. The Bulldogs have two transfers (AJ Swann, Jaden Rashada), a true freshman (Brodie McWhorter), and a returning sophomore (Kamario Taylor). Figuring out which one will lead the offense is the only storyline worth following in Starkville.
15. Kentucky Wildcats
ESPN Projected Win-Loss Record: 4.6-7.4

Will Stein can make his mark in the SEC in a big way. The first-year head coach revamped the Kentucky Wildcats' offense, and has a proven track record of extracting maximum offensive value with Oregon. But with a Week 2 clash versus Alabama and only two non-conference games until the last week of the season, Stein doesn't have any room for error.
