Money Williams has proven over the past two years that he is one of the top pure scorers in college basketball. Just last season alone, the junior tallied seven games with at least 30 points, while also going for 40 in a Big Sky Tournament quarterfinal win over Northern Colorado. He led the conference with 20.6 points per game on the season, one of just 29 players in Division I to eclipse 20 PPG.

He joins former UConn assistant Luke Murray (son of Bill) in his debut season at Boston College, where he will bring loads of scoring punch to a program that desperately needs it.

He led the Big 12 by shooting 64 percent from the field, proving he is a capable two-way player. His arrival at Louisville for the 2026-27 season makes them an immediate ACC contender alongside Duke.
2) Massamba Diop

Things didn’t go according to plan for Bobby Hurley during his time at Arizona State. Still, he certainly found a gem in Senegalese seven-footer Massamba Diop on the recruiting trail. The big man was a bright spot in a dull season for the Sun Devils, operating as the team’s second-leading scorer and leading rebounder as an elite anchor in the paint. His 2.1 blocks per game were second-best in the Big 12, only behind Flory Bidunga. Coming off a year where bigs dominated the sport, Diop was one of the most coveted players this offseason.

Early favorites Gonzaga held off a full-court press from St. John’s to land their top target.
3) Milan Momcilovic

Even outside Ames and across the country, Milan Momcilovic became a crowd favorite for his size and elite sharpshooting. Some of his performances were jaw-dropping, completely taking over games with a barrage of triples as he willed the Cyclones to victory. Programs all across the country will be willing to pay a hefty premium for his talents, provided he opts to stay at the collegiate level and doesn’t go pro.
4) John Blackwell

There are very few players who have as complete a game as John Blackwell. The junior can score at all three levels, whether it is from beyond the arc or finding his way through traffic to finish at the rim. After nearly averaging 20 points per game for Wisconsin last season, Blackwell was highly sought after.

The high scorer will take his talent from Madison to Durham as he joins the Blue Devils where he should be one of the main focal points of their offense in 2026-27.
5) P.J. Haggerty

P.J. Haggerty was the consensus #1 overall transfer in the portal last offseason, with many expecting big things from the standout guard at Kansas State last season. While the Wildcats were wildly underwhelming in 2025-26, Haggerty did put up 23.4 points per game, the fourth-highest average in the nation.

He now joins Bucky McMillan for the latest edition of Bucky Ball at Texas A&M. With his scoring ability and knack for getting to the free-throw line, he could lead the nation in points per game next season within this high-tempo system.
6) Isaiah Johnson

Isaiah Johnson went largely under the national radar in 2025-26 because Colorado was in the basement of the Big 12. Still, the guard was an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention and set the all-time program record for points scored by a freshman.

Sean Miller has cashed in big here as Johnson will head to Austin and play for Texas. It gives them a future star at the point guard position with a year of Big 12 experience under his belt, which should translate well to life in the SEC.
7) Allen Graves

There are very few true weaknesses in Allen Graves’s game. The 6’9” sophomore forward has every tool needed to succeed at the highest level of the sport, as an efficient scorer at all three levels with size and strength to complement. His averages per 40 minutes are staggering, clocking in at over 20 points and ten rebounds last season.

With head coach Herb Sendek primarily using him off the bench, it will be interesting to see how his next coach will look to utilize his talents within the rotation.
8) Tounde Yessoufou

Anyone who averages over 21 points per game at the power conference level is going to gauge interest from virtually every school in the country. Juke Harris is an absolute bucket, going from rotational piece in his freshman year last season to program centerpiece at Wake Forest following the departure of a loaded senior class. He will command a lot of money on the portal for programs that lack backcourt scoring power.
10) Miles Byrd

There are a select few point guards in the country who give you equal intensity on both ends of the floor like Miles Byrd does. The Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year blossomed into a leader at San Diego State, choosing to spend four years at the same program after seeing just 40 minutes of action over the course of the entire season in 2022-23 as the team reached the national championship.

This is a massive get for head coach Bryan Hodgson ahead of his debut season with Providence. Byrd will immediately be one of the team’s leaders and an exceptional fit for the grinder style of play that both Hodgson and the Friar fans will admire from the jump.
11) Stefan Vaaks

Any time a freshman scoring over 15 points per game at a power conference program hits the portal, the entire nation is going to take notice. That’s what Stefan Vaaks provides, a three-level scorer with size and a clear knack for filling up the basket, even in the physical Big East.

His immediate production and experience playing both professionally and nationally in Estonia mean he will be a plug-and-play scoring option for Illinois. He is a continuation of the foreign archetype of size and sharpshooting that head coach Brad Underwood has cornered over the past few seasons.
12) Moustapha Thiam

Thiam provides a similar level of rim protection at 7’2”, averaging 2.1 blocks per game across his two collegiate seasons.

As expected the Senegal native landed with an elite program in Michigan where he will step into Mara’s role in thee middle.
13) Kwame Evans

Kwame Evans stuck it out through thick and thin at Oregon. After being exiled to the bench entering his sophomore season, the Baltimore product stuck it out and stayed with the Ducks, emerging as an elite complement to Nate Bittle in the frontcourt.

A top-20 recruit out of high school, Evans is a high-level athlete with size and length that will fit the classic Villanova player archetype. His size, combined with his elite speed and athleticism, makes him a switchable defender that can also operate as a small-ball five.
14) Acaden Lewis

Acaden Lewis immediately emerged as a key contributor for Villanova in 2025-26, even as a freshman. He now carries that year of experience into his next destination, primed for a breakout campaign as a former top-40 recruit out of high school.
15) Paulius Murauskas

The forward stayed out West joining Arizona State if the Big 12, giving the Sun Devils size, rebounding, and efficiency in the frontcourt. Not just a boomerang back to the Big 12 but back to the state of Arizona.
16) Somto Cyril

Somto Cyril blossomed from a rotational role to a key contributor and starter for Georgia over the past two seasons. In just over 20 minutes per game, the sophomore led the SEC by shooting 75.9 percent from inside the arc, led the SEC with 2.2 blocks per game, and doubled his scoring output as well. He is an efficient player on both ends of the court, providing elite size with two years of eligibility remaining.

Head coach Jai Lucas made a clear effort to secure Cyril’s talents, and he could make a serious leap at Miami in a system that better fits his archetype.
17) Jackson Shelstad

Jackson Shelstad saw his 2025-26 season cut short in December due to a hand injury, only playing in 12 games before wrapping his season up just before New Year’s. The Oregon native is already a 1,000-point scorer and should garner plenty of national interest as a plug-and-play, score-first backcourt option who has also really improved his playmaking throughout his career in Eugene.

Shelstad will now join a loaded incoming transfer class at Louisville as they look to contend atop the ACC. And even with three years under his belt, he may be granted an additional year of eligibility via medical redshirt due to last season’s injury.
18) David Punch

When David Punch became an immediate starter for TCU in 2024-25 as a freshman, it was clear that he had a future in the sport and could become a star for the Horned Frogs if he stuck around. He did exactly that, blossoming into the program’s centerpiece and improving his game across the board. The only area of improvement that could really make Punch a nationally relevant player would be his shooting from beyond the arc. The rising junior made just 25.3 percent of his triples over his first two seasons in Fort Worth.
19) Donnie Freeman

A five-star recruit coming out of high school, Donnie Freeman surprised many by deciding to play at Syracuse, a sleeping giant in college basketball. The freshman phenom saw his first season with the Orange hampered by injury, but he showed throughout his freshman and sophomore campaigns that he is an absolute beast when he is available.

There has been plenty of buzz surrounding Freeman’s current decision process. The leader at the moment feels like Kentucky after he canceled a visit to UConn following his visit with the Wildcats, with St. John’s also expressing some interest.

20) Dedan Thomas

Sometimes, a consistent, veteran presence to fill a spot on your roster is all a team needs. That is exactly what Dedan Thomas provides, a rising senior who has averaged at least 13 points per game across his three collegiate seasons. A left foot injury hampered him through most of the 2025-26 season, meaning we may not have even seen him at 100 percent during his time with LSU.

If Houston head coach Kelvin Sampson can get some better defense out of Thomas, along with his veteran leadership and offensive firepower, then he could become a legit backcourt stud for the Cougars.
21) Neoklis Avdalas

Given his previous background of playing professionally, three years of remaining eligibility, and immediate comfort level with the college game, Neoklis Avdalas could make this ranking look very silly next season. The 6’9” guard showed an ability to score at all three levels, as well as a stunning ability to see the court with nearly five assists per game. Those attributes, along with that size, will have coaches across the country begging for his talents, ultimately leading to a handsome payday for the Greek product.
22) Markus Burton

It’s been a difficult three years in South Bend for the Fighting Irish, but that’s not due to a lack of effort from star guard Markus Burton. The Indiana native racked up over 1,300 points in his three seasons at Notre Dame, a lone bright spot in an era of struggles for the school. A broken left ankle kept Markus Burton sidelined for the majority of the 2025-26 season, but he is expected to be fully healthy for the start of next season.

He will be a star for Indiana out of the gates. Burton has improved his shooting splits year over year, and head coach Darian DeVries will put him in positions to succeed right away.
23) Aiden Sherrell

What a breakout season for Aiden Sherrell in 2025-26. After barely seeing the floor at Alabama in 2024-25, Sherrell became a regular starter under Nate Oats last season, displaying elite two-way ability as a double-digit scorer while swatting over two shots per game. A game that stands out for Sherrell from last year came back in December, where the 6’10” forward had eight blocks against a massive Arizona team. If you can find defensive success against that front line, you can do it against anyone.

The Hoosiers continue to rack up the talent here, and Sherrell will be a starter within the frontcourt. He immediately raises the floor in Bloomington with his ability to impact the game on both ends of the court.
24) Mikey Lewis

He is much more efficient as an isolated scorer than most players we have seen come and go at Saint Mary’s, which is why the surging Longhorns secured his services as they look to complete for a Big 12 title and more.
25) Caden Pierce

Last offseason, Caden Pierce decided to redshirt the 2025-26 season to complete his degree at Princeton and then spend his graduate season elsewhere. The 2024 Ivy League Player of the Year spent the season visiting high-end schools like UConn, Gonzaga, and Louisville before ultimately landing on Purdue as his final destination.

He is a perfect fit in Matt Painter’s scheme as an efficient stretch forward, converting nearly 49 percent of his field goal attempts throughout his career.
26) Alex Wilkins

Hindsight is 20/20, but it’s easy to see that the high school recruiting process whiffed on Alex Wilkins. The freshman should never have been a mid-major player, and will now surely transfer to a power conference for the remainder of his collegiate career. His 21-point performance against UConn in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament seemed to turn some heads and prove to the public that he is capable of playing against high-level competition.
27) Christian Hammond

Christian Hammond was the engine that helped Santa Clara to its first NCAA Tournament appearance in three decades. The team’s leading scorer and a First-Team All-WCC selection, Hammond knocked down 39 percent of his triples and showed elite poise with the ball in his hands.

His quickness may come into question at the power conference level, but he can still provide a sharpshooting, off-the-ball option out of the backcourt.
28) Finley Bizjack

He has an underrated knack for playmaking, as best displayed by this ludicrous pass back in November against SMU.

Bizjack will bring his dynamism to West Virginia, where he will look to help end the program’s longest NCAA Tournament drought in over two decades.
29) Leroy Blyden Jr.

Every year, we get a handful of freshmen who simply slip through the recruiting cracks and pop off at the mid-major level. Leroy Blyden Jr. is one of those players who immediately asserted himself as one of the alphas. Toledo fans will likely point to his 36-point outburst against Western Michigan on December 30th as the game when they realized they had something special in the diaper dandy. But in today’s NIL climate, players this talented don’t hang around the mid-major ranks for long, as a high-major program in the offseason will surely scoop up Blyden.
30) Cruz Davis

Alongside freshman guard Preston Edmead - who has also entered the transfer portal - Cruz Davis made up half of one of the premier backcourts in mid-major basketball last season. The former Iona and St. John’s product found his way to Hofstra ahead of the 2024-25 season, where he finally found somewhere he could flourish, averaging 14.4 points per game as a starter for the Pride. He took his game to another level this past season, leading the conference in both points scored and minutes played en route to capturing CAA Player of the Year.

Although he didn’t play much at the power conference level under the Red Storm, his year of experience at the high-major level may set him up for success at Texas Tech next season.
31) KJ Lewis

Already logging over 100 games between his stints at Arizona and Georgetown, KJ Lewis is becoming one of those players who take fans by surprise when they realize he still has eligibility, since he has been in the national spotlight for so long. After a down year with the Hoyas, Lewis has joined the program’s mass exodus as he looks for success similar to what he was a part of with the Wildcats. He is sure to provide stability, leadership, and strong rebounding to the backcourt at his next destination.
32) Najai Hines

While the averages and playing time aren’t quite there yet, the potential is massive for Najai Hines to have an explosive leap into his sophomore season. In just 18 minutes per game last season, Hines averaged 2.2 blocks per game, the most among all players in the Big East. It was the second-highest block percentage in the entire country, putting him in the conversation of the best rim protectors in college basketball.

Dan Hurley and UConn have a history of developing elite big men over the years, with Adama Sanogo and Donovan Clingan being the nuclei of their back-to-back national championship runs. With Tarris Reed set to go to the NBA, Hines may be asked to step into that prominent role right away.
33) Paul McNeil

The arrival of head coach Will Wade to North Carolina State boded well for Paul McNeil, who decided to stick around despite the coaching change. He most notably exploded in a buy game against Texas Southern last December, scoring 47 points with 11 three-pointers, a school record in a single game.

McNeil would benefit most at a school that prioritizes spacing, shooting, and tempo. If he can find the right fit, expect him to be one of the best shooters in the country next season.
34) Zoom Diallo

The leap that Zoom Diallo made in his game between his freshman and sophomore seasons was remarkable. He is an all-around guard with no notable weaknesses, and really started coming into form towards the end of the season. He averaged 19.1 points per game across Washington’s final eight games of the year.

Kentucky desperately needs a reliable point guard, and this pickup provides just that. He will be a plug-and-play option in the backcourt for head coach Mark Pope.
35) Oswin Erhunmwunse

Oswin Erhunmwunse was an absolute force around the rim over the past two seasons at Providence. The 6’10” forward is a physical presence, often finishing around the rim whilst protecting it on the defensive end. His one struggle that must be corrected comes at the charity stripe. The big man shot just 50 percent over his two years with the Friars.

Erhunmwunse makes the rare intraconference transfer here, joining head coach Alan Huss at Creighton in his first year on the job. The Bluejays certainly lacked some frontcourt athleticism last year, and Erhunmwunse will aid that in a massive way.
36) Sananda Fru

Sananda Fru is one of the most efficient big men in the country. He led the ACC by shooting 76.5 percent from the floor at Louisville in 2025-26. He ranked in the top 40 nationally in offensive rating and offensive rebounding percentage, a coach’s dream, as he will rarely waste possessions while generating plenty of second-chance opportunities for his team.

Shaka Smart has finally conceded to the transfer portal and notched his first incoming transfer since 2022, his first season at Marquette.
37) Nik Khamenia

Nik Khamenia remains a bit of a mystery after his freshman season at Duke. The five-star freshman was buried behind some elite talent on the roster, unable to crack the starting lineup and getting under 20 minutes per game. He did show some flashes throughout conference play, scoring 14 points on three separate occasions, most notably in a gutsy win over Clemson at the ACC Tournament.

From one elite program to another, the rising sophomore is headed to Storrs to join the Huskies, the program that ended Duke’s season in the Elite 8.
38) Preston Edmead

One of the most talented freshmen at the mid-major level in the country, Preston Edmead, is next in line of an incredible lineage of awesome guards to likely transfer up from the Pride to the high-major level. The CAA Rookie of the Year was an integral piece of the program’s return to the NCAA Tournament, most notably banking in a game-winning shot over Towson in the CAA Semifinals in overtime.

Edmead has made official visits to Oregon and North Carolina State throughout April before choosing the Wolfpack where he replaces their departed freshman point guard.
39) Magoon Gwath

He may be asked to play a bit more at his next stop after averaging under 20 minutes per contest in 2025-26.

This was one of the most shocking decisions of portal season so far. Despite some reported interest from Kentucky, Gwath has chosen to take his talents to DePaul. It’s a massive addition for the program, and the Blue Demons now feel like a squad that could contend in the middle of the pack in the Big East next season.
40) Alvaro Folgueiras

He was an awesome bench piece for head coach Ben McCollum after transferring in from Robert Morris, where he was crowned 2024-25 Horizon League Player of the Year. His ability to shoot from the outside as a stretch forward makes him a niche, but impactful player within the right system.

The NCAA Tournament hero will join his third program in three years, as he brings some much-needed shot-making to the Cardinals.
41) Terrence Hill Jr.

There is a case to be made that Terrence Hill Jr. was the best sixth man in all of college basketball last season. The sophomore started just two of 36 games for VCU, despite being the team’s leading scorer and primary scoring option when on the court. He certainly took advantage of the national stage that the NCAA Tournament provides, pouring in 34 points in the Rams’ incredible comeback victory over North Carolina in the opening round.

The sophomore guard visited Kansas and Tennessee before choosing the Vols in hopes of taking them deep into the Big Dance in 2027.
42) Wes Enis

He had an immediate impact once he got to South Florida, finishing the season as the team’s leading scorer and earning First-Team All-AAC honors. His sharpshooting and unrelenting intensity make him a great backcourt piece.

Enis will join Creighton in 2025-26, which fits his game perfectly. With the amount of space and offensive focus that the Bluejays typically play with, he is sure to thrive within the system.
43) Kayden Mingo

The New York native displayed loads of positive energy as a freshman on a struggling team, a great sign for programs looking for a winner.

That’s an attitude a team like Baylor desperately needs going into next season. The Bears haven’t made a second weekend since winning the national championship in 2021 and have slipped a bit in national relevance lately.
44) Bryson Tiller

He is a hot commodity as a player who is oozing potential down the road.

It’s not often you see a player transfer within a heated rivalry, but Tiller has decided to do so here. We’ll be circling the date where these two face off in 2026-27, as he will surely get a serious heckling from the Jayhawk faithful.
45) Jeremiah Wilkinson

His ability to not only survive but thrive within the SEC last season means he is capable of playing at the highest level in the sport.

While John Calipari has mostly relied on underclassmen point guards throughout his coaching career, this experience should help him find some stability early on in the program.

Indiana was in desperate need of that exact presence last season, a lack of interior size that is so often exposed within the Big Ten. It’s a great fit for Yigitoglu as he’ll anchor the paint for the Hoosiers.
47) Collin Chandler

Collin Chandler made the rare decision to wait for his turn at Kentucky last offseason, and it paid off. After averaging just 2.7 points per game in his freshman campaign despite coming in as a top-40 recruit, he stuck around and was thrust into the starting lineup by head coach Mark Pope. He saw nearly triple the playing time and averaged 9.7 points per contest in the process. He most notably displayed some efficient three-point shooting, knocking down 41 percent of his triples for the Wildcats.

Chandler will head closer to home, as the Utah native will join Kevin Young at BYU for his junior season. If he can replicate last season’s sharpshooting, he should be a regular starter.
48) Matt Able

West Virginia will take him on as a project. The NBA Academy Africa product will likely step into the frontcourt anchor role of 7’0” senior Harlan Obioha, who graduates this offseason.
51) Jalen Haralson

That combination of volume and efficiency is hard to come by in college basketball, especially at the power conference level.

Tennessee is getting a star in the making with this transfer. If there is a player on this list who could heavily outperform their ranking due to a meteoric second-year leap, here he is.
52) Drew Scharnowski

A right shoulder injury nagged him throughout the preseason and into the start of the year, eventually forcing Kentucky to shut him down after playing just nine games. He still has the potential to be a star in college basketball, but it’s been over a year since we last saw him at full health, which raises some concerns.

Lowe will look for a rest at Georgetown, hoping to revitalize a program that has yet to get going under head coach Ed Cooley.
56) Eric Reibe
